The University of Sydney campuses are a unique blend of neo-gothic sandstone history complete with gargoyles, cloisters and courtyards and contemporary, well-equipped architecture, offering the highest quality teaching, learning and research facilities. Lecture theatres with state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities, labs with all the latest technology, farms and clinics are surrounded by spacious lawns and courtyards.
The University has eight different teaching campuses spread throughout the Sydney area. Each of them have well-stocked specialist libraries, on-campus student amenities, and are linked by public transport.

Accommodation options
The University's Accommodation Information Service is able to assist you to find accommodation by providing information about a wide range of accommodation options.
On campus you will find University owned self-catered accommodation, the Sydney University Village, and Residential Colleges. Off-campus accommodation is another popular option for students.
Transport and security
The University is easily accessible by train, bus, car and bicycle and is committed to ensuring a safe campus. Stringent security systems and safety initiatives are in place within each campus, to ensure students get to enjoy a safe environment to study and live in.
English language training

Undergraduate:
International students interested in studying an undergraduate program at the University of Sydney need to apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) if they are studying one of the following qualifications:
- an Australian Year 12 qualification (eg. NSW HSC, VCE, SA Matriculation) either inside or outside of Australia in the current year
- the International Baccalaureate in Australia or overseas in the current year
- the New Zealand Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 in New Zealand in the current year.
International students who have secondary (high school) qualifications or tertiary (university) qualifications in another country, need to apply directly to the University of Sydney. To know more about applying to the University, click here.

The Application Processing Fee (APF) is AUD$100, and is non refundable.
Foundation Studies
Students who do not possess an acceptable secondary or tertiary qualification may apply to the University of Sydney Foundation Program, which is equivalent to Australian final year secondary studies. The Foundation Program allows both first and second semester entry to undergraduate courses at the University of Sydney and other universities within Australia.

Postgraduate
To be considered for admission to the University of Sydney you need to meet certain minimum eligibility criteria. This will usually include:
- an acceptable academic qualification (Research or Coursework)
- meeting the English language requirements (Research or Coursework), and
- any special entry requirements (Research or Coursework)

While some scholarships are offered by the University, there are many others offered by the Australian government to international students. The eligibility criteria for each of them are different. Scholarships for international students are administered by the International Office. Please contact them for specific queries regarding these scholarships.
